Pine River now offers Spicy Beer—a blend of cheddar, cayenne pepper, garlic, and Wisconsin beer—as the fifth flavor in their Clean Label Line of spreads. These cheddar-based, cold pack cheese food line of spreads are crafted without preservatives, added flavors, added colors, or added hormones and are cold pressure treated for safety, allowing an extended shelf life of 330 days. Now available in 5 flavorful varieties — Sharp Cheddar, Port Wine, Garlic & Herb, Hot Habanero, and Spicy Beer.

We will also be sampling a test spread—Hemp & Hops Beer Cheese Spread—a cheddar spread flavored with beer and infused with hemp to create a unique and flavorful spread. While not currently on the market, we are sampling to test interest in hemp-based products as we patiently wait for FDA approval on interstate sales.

Pine River continues to be a leader in Clean Label cheddar-based gourmet cold pack cheese spreads and has introduced Spicy Beer to the current flavor line-up. All five flavors—Port Wine, Sharp Cheddar, Hot Habanero, Garlic & Herb, and Spicy Beer—are crafted without preservatives, added flavors, added colors, or added hormones.

Pine River took home 3 medals at the 2019 US Cheese Championship Cheese Contest. Garlic and Herb took home Best Of Class in the Cold Pack Cheese Food category with a score of 99.7 out of 100, and Aged Asiago came in second with a score of 99.6. In the Cold Pack Cheese Spread category, Pepper Jack won Best of Class with a score of 99.25. See more Pine River accolades at pineriver.com/awards.

The first cheese in Caves of Faribault’s new Commission™ line, Cherubic™ is a heavenly young Gouda expertly crafted to the Cave’s exclusive make, recipe and specification. Similar in concept to the Renaissance custom of commissioning fine art, the Caves Commission™ line allows us to bring customers new cheeses that do not require cave ageing. This line allows our team to have their favorite specialty cheeses crafted to our exacting standards of cheesemaking excellence by select expert partners.
 
The firstborn progeny of the new line is Cherubic™, a small format European-style Gouda built for pleasing flavor and versatility in an everyday cheese. With a pleasant, buttery, lactic aroma and mildly pungent flavor, this utilitarian cheese lends itself well to breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks.
