Burnett Dairy Cooperative is a place where farm families work side-by-side with crop and dairy experts to produce the highest quality products from the ground up. They've been proudly farmer-owned since 1896 and great things have been happening ever since. In 1988, they won the distinction of World Champion Cheesemaker with an entry of their now famous string cheese. If you visit their retail cheese store and bistro in the beauty of Alpha, Wisconsin, the folks at Burnett will be happy to fry up some cheese curds (a true Wisconsin delicacy), bake you a pizza, grill you a gourmet panini, or make you an ice cream cone. Bruce’s story is a testament to devotion. He’s been with Burnett Dairy for more than 35 years, and has twice graduated from the Wisconsin Master Cheesemaker® program. With certifications in Colby, cheddar, mozzarella and Monterey jack, Bruce especially likes experimenting with cultures and enzymes––always producing top-notch cheese as a result.
